The Friends need your help!

The Friends are a small and dedicated group of volunteers, who give our time outside of work and life to running the committee. We love organising events for the children to help them make great memories, but to do this we need the continued help and support of the wider school community. The more help we have, the more we can achieve, so if you're able to offer your time or support in any way please send us an email

How to get involved

1. Help out on events

We need helpers to set-up andrun events such as uniform exchange days. If you're able to give us any of your time on one of our events please get in touch.

2. Join the Committee

We are always looking for more members to join the committee, and the Roles of Chair, Vice Chair (Upper School) and Secretary will be vacant from the AGM on 7th October 2023.

Here's some of the benefits of joining:
- Supporting the school - events held and funds raised enrich your child's school experience and learning.
- Flexible opportunities - you can commit as little or as much time as you want and it's probably less than you think!
- Fun and rewarding - seeing the children enjoying events you've helped to organise is a very nice feeling
- Have your say - get a better understanding of how the school is run and how funds are spent

3. Become a class rep

The role of a class rep is to pass on information between the Friends and the parents of each class via the class Whatsapp groups.
You will also help to promote Friends events, recruit volunteers for fairs and usually organise presents for the teaching staff.
You can also pass on fundraising and spending ideas from parents to the committee.
It's a great way to make friends and get to know other parents, and can look great on a CV.
If you'd like to find out more about becoming a class rep, then please email us at indicating which class(es) you'd like to be a rep for.

4. Become a volunteer

The Friends also run a list of volunteers who we can ask for help with various tasks (in addition to asking the class reps). These tasks could be wrapping lucky dip presents at home, folding raffle tickets or helping to collect and sort bottle/sweet donations for fairs.
If you have a particular skill you'd be happy to volunteer for (for example: marketing, first aider, graphic designer, website operator) then please also include that on your email. There is no minimum commitment expected!

If you'd like more information on any of these roles, or how you can get involved in an event, then please email us at
